Smart‑Health medical image intelligent recognition can be divided into radiology, radiotherapy, surgery and pathology according to application fields:

  1. Radiology: Rays are used for imaging to reveal internal human lesions and generate medical images. Intelligent recognition of such images aims to label the location of lesions.
  2. Radiotherapy: Before formulating a radiotherapy plan, doctors use imaging equipment to locate target areas and obtain corresponding images. Intelligent recognition of these images is intended for automatic target‑area delineation. Since radiotherapy works by destroying cells, highly precise delineation of lesion areas is required, which places high demands on the accuracy of intelligent image recognition.
  3. Surgery: Images such as CT scans are reconstructed in three dimensions with technologies including 3D visualization, assisting doctors in preoperative planning to guarantee surgical precision.
  4. Pathology: Pathological diagnosis serves as the final confirmation step. Interpretation results of MRI, CT, B‑ultrasound and other images shall be referenced against pathological diagnosis outcomes. In traditional pathological examinations, doctors observe pathological smears directly under microscopes. Nowadays, digital pathological systems make AI‑assisted slide reading feasible.
